CASA Superhero 5K Run and Walk

5th Annual Superhero 5K Run and Walk Supporting CASA Youth Advocates, Inc. has been cancelled.

Hello CASA 5K Supporters,

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you for being a supporter of our Annual Superhero 5K Run/Walk. During these unprecedented times, we are sad to inform you that this year’s 5K is canceled due to the coronavirus.

As you can imagine, we at CASA are actively working to meet the needs of the children we serve every day, especially during this crisis. As we rely on our annual 5K to raise funds for our yearly budget, we’d like to ask you to donate your registration this year. If you have not yet registered for the 5k, we’d like to ask you to consider donating the cost of registration by clicking the link below.

While we can’t convene for our Superhero 5K next month, all of our CASA staff and advocates are busy being Superheroes during this time of crisis for all of the children and youth that we serve.  We’re using video conferencing apps to connect with all of our CASA kids weekly to maintain some sense of consistency and stability for them, assessing their safety and any needs or challenges that they and their caregivers are facing in the wake of the COVID-19.

During this time, CASA has been able to ensure that the basic needs of children, families, and youth are met by providing gift cards for food, transportation, diapers, wipes, formula, cleaning products, and electronic devices for remote learning activities.

At CASA, we rely on our annual 5K for needed funds for our yearly budget, the donation of your registration cost will help us provide critical services at this even more critical time in all of our lives. Your donation will directly impact the work we are doing to ensure the kids we serve are staying safe and protected during this pandemic.

Although we are not able to meet at Ridley Creek State Park on Sunday, April 26th, we will be hosting a virtual 5K that day on social media.  Please join us as we take to the streets and sidewalks near our homes, to walk or run!  We hope you bought or made those superhero costumes in anticipation of our event because we are hosting an online costume contest with prizes! Follow us on Facebook @CASAYouthAdvocates for more details.

We are wishing you safety and health – and we look forward to seeing you at our next CASA event!

*If you decide to donate your registration send an email to jblackwell@delcocasa.org and we will provide you with a donor acknowledgment letter for tax purposes. THANK YOU!

Championing one youth? Think breakfast at the diner.

Breakfast at one of our locally treasured diners is about how much it costs CASA to champion a single youth each day. That’s right, $8 per day will cover the costs of a CASA Volunteer Advocate Champion. Transform the future of a youth in the system.
