CASA is excited to announce the receipt of two grants from the National CASA Association aimed at increasing the number of children to be served over the next two years. The grants, totaling $75,500 will support the work of professional case supervisors and volunteer CASA advocates in serving 75 new children per year over the next two years and training at least 30 new CASA volunteer advocates during that time. In 2013, CASA was only able to serve 20% of the over 900 children who pass through Delaware County’s dependency system each year.MORE INFO

April, is Child Abuse Prevention month. During this month, CASA joins with other Delaware County agencies serving abused and neglected children to bring greater awareness to this community issue. On April 2, CASA Volunteer Bob McKee and CASA Youth, Helen, were present at the Delaware County Council Meeting at which County Council adopted a resolution designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Delaware County. Bob, CASA’s 2013 Volunteer of the Year, introduced his youth, Helen, who performed an original song.MORE INFO
